Kamaru Usman defends his title

If you haven't heard of Kamaru Usman, then you need to get to know.

The MMA fighter known as the 'Nigerian Nightmare', extended his unbeaten run this weekend with an emphatic second round knockout in a rematch against Jorge Masvidal. The first full capacity UFC event in over a year did not disappoint,  especially as Usman is the first and only person to have knocked out Masvidal who has been fighting since 2003.
Usman's versatility and ability to adjust to tactics in the octagon make him one of the best welterweights in the division, and arguably the best pound for pound fighter on the planet. And we don't think we've seen the best of him yet. It seems that a fight with McGregor could be on the cards after an exchange of tweets between the pair; now that would be a spectacle we'd like to see.
If you missed the fight at the weekend you can watch highlights on YouTube or the full thing on BT Sports if you have a subscription. Usman's next fight, confirmed by Dana White will be against Colby Covington and from listening to Usman's interviews its set to be another spectacle.
"I asked Dana, I fought any and everyone they put in front of me. I never said no. These guys ducked me for years, but I got here and I haven't ducked anyone. This is like a track meet, I'm so far ahead of these guys and I'm coming around the track and coming with a vengeance." now if that's not fight talk, we're not sure what is.
We're honoured to have such an amazing talent be an ambassador of the brand, and can't wait to see what he does next. And if Usman's drive has taught us anything, its that with the right mindset and resilience we are capable of achieving anything we put our minds too.
