Gym King was founded in 2015 and has grown from ‘bedroom brand’ to a leading athleisure and performance wear company with an excellent online presence and market leading retail partners. A highly entrepreneurial business driven as a tight fast-moving SME.

The Partnership/Activations Manager role has been newly created to support the rapid growth of the business. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic fashion brand as it continues on its journey of growth.

Key Roles and Responsibilities.

This newly created role will be responsible for the activation, management and ongoing growth of Gym King’s commercial partners; gyms, ambassadors and influencers, driving best practice and objectives of the wider organisation. Conceptualising brand activation events & campaigns to boost the Gym King Brand.

Manage the delivery of contractual rights for each partner across events, digital, broadcast, hospitality etc.

Define and implement an account management structure with day-to-day contact that drives efficient communications and productivity of projects. E.g. arrangement of regular calls, status documents, f2f meetings etc.

Build/maintain/grow positive relationships with all partners, defining  a sponsorship strategy for their Gym King partnership with measurable KPIs.

Identify key areas where partners and Gym King share mutual objectives and aims and work with the wider business to develop ideas and support these. 

Reporting results that relate to partner KPI’s & adjusting strategies based on performance.

Support contract renewals for the brands in the Gym King portfolio.

Conceptualising campaigns, selecting venues for brand activation events and overseeing execution of activities.

Working with all members of the Brand Team in management and support of the wider team’s objectives and operations including team and individual management as it relates to accounts you or the team work on and support

Implement strong processes and systems within your work to continue to drive performance within yourself and the wider team

Organise and manage special events, activations.

Cross functional collaboration with the Brand Team to create content and social noise; stories, blogs, video’s, photo’s etc… aligning campaigns with company goals and ensure brand messaging is consistent across all channels.

Help package ideas that partners may want to invest in or support.

Develop strong internal relationships by investing the time to understand and appreciate the different processes and working practices of each area of the business and how you might mutually support each other best in day-to-day and strategic priorities.

As the role evolves, seeking news opportunities for future brand partnerships to ensure a pipeline of activations in the longer term.

- A deep understanding of market competition to create standout activations that differentiate the brand.

- liaise with external vendors and agencies, negotiating the best deals and ensuring high-quality delivery of promotional materials.

Experience / Credentials

Demonstrable experience in similar role at a dynamic organisation.

Experience activating sponsorships is essential.

A strong understanding of brand and communications and the role of sponsorship in the broader marketing landscape.

Experience within a sports/entertainment/fashion sponsorship agency would be an advantage.

Proven account management track record with key relationships and high-level clients.

Creative ability to construct bespoke sponsorship activations meeting client needs.

Highly independent, performance-driven, and comfortable with working in a dynamic, fast paced environment to tight deadlines.

Effectively managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Analytical/strategic ability to identify where current and potential sponsors may be able to bring value to the Gym King brand.

Supports and appreciates the work of the team and wider business in meeting your goals.

Excellent inter-personal skills and relationship builder. Advanced communication and presenting capabilities.

Strong professional network within similar industries.

Full UK driving licence.

Working hours: Due to the nature of this role, the hours will be full time (37.5 hours per week) Monday-Friday, although a flexible approach is required.

Location: This role is based at Unit 6 Temple Point, Bullerthorpe Lane, Colton, Leeds LS15 9JL. 2 minutes off the M1 J46. Hybrid working will be considered. There will be a requirement to travel as part of this role.
