Job Summary:

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the Gym King team based in Leeds. Reporting to the Head of Brand, as the Marketing Manager, will create & execute Gym King’s brand marketing vision to ensure our community feels valued and connected. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies across brand, product, and partnerships with a specific focus on product launches, campaigns, social media, influencers and brand activations.

We are looking for a driven, analytical and commercially minded marketing expert to take ownership of day-to-day optimisations, campaigns and innovation ensuring that our digital marketing strategies align with our business growth targets and performance KPIs.

The role is full time within working hours of 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. You will be required to work closely with the Trading, Brand, CRM and Marketing team.

Tasks, duties & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing product launches & campaigns to support our marketing/trading calendar; working with the wider team to execute all plans
  • Responsible for managing the Gym King’s marketing output with a specific focus on organic social media channels; Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Planning & executing brand activations (events, pop-up shops, exhibition shows)
  • Lead aspects of developing and executing marketing campaigns across brand, product, and partnerships against our marketing calendar
  • Manage the influencer responsible for outreach programmes to ensure execution with support from other members of the team
  • Build an organic social discipline, creating a long-term and cost-effective solution to building brand awareness, driving new customer growth and ongoing loyalty and engagement
  • Briefing and managing content assets (primarily stories & feed posts)
  • Working with the team to own the brand voice across marketing channels so that it is consistent and reflects our brand positioning and serves both brand and audience needs.
  • Analysis of cultural, community, media, and market trends to inform strategic and creative development for content.
  • Report on core KPIs and provide actionable insights for improvement. Lead measurement plan to ensure that the content strategy is evaluated correctly and demonstrates business and brand value.
  • Implement effective acquisition and retention strategies to drive sales and new customer growth while maintaining cost-efficiency.
  • Expand our marketing portfolio with new platforms and avenues, working closely with CRM, e-com and Brand to increase overall business ROI.
  • Remaining reactive to key events, customer moments, national days, and TV relevant to our audience
  • Identifying creative opportunities, briefing & capturing content, and attending shoot days
  • Leading our trade partner marketing strategy to support our key wholesale accounts

 

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in planning & executing product launches across multiple channels
  • Professional experience in marketing or social media management in a high volume, fast paced similar industry or an agency(minimum of 2 years)
  • Previous experience in managing a marketing or social media team with ability to scale team growth
  • Proven ability in developing marketing & social content strategies for brands to meet the needs for their business and target audiences; creating brand identities, repositioning or refreshing existing brands.
  • To be a natural relationship builder with the gravitas to quickly enable trust, rapport and respect, and the infectious energy to bring others along with you;
  • Experience in briefing & managing content assets
  • Advanced knowledge of all major social media platform and publishing & analytic tools
  • Dynamic communication skills with the ability to think strategically
  • Positive, con do attitude with great problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot quickly
  • attitude A team player with a love of sport/ fitness/ fashion would be highly advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence

Working hours: Due to the nature of this role, the hours will be full time (37.5 hours per week) Monday-Friday, although a flexible approach is required. There will be the requirement to travel from time to time to meet the needs of the role.

Location: This role is based at Unit 6 Temple Point, Bullerthorpe Lane, Colton, Leeds LS15 9JL. 2 minutes off the M1 J46. There will be a requirement to travel as part of this role.
