Created by Gym King and Ross Edgley, The Last Stoic Standing is the ultimate test of physical resilience, mental composure and relentless determination.
Inspired by the principles of Stoicism, this isn't simply a fitness event—it's a battle against fatigue, discomfort and the voice telling you to quit.
The Circuit
The concept is simple: 5 stations. The contestant with the most points, wins. this is a one of a kind strength and resilience event. each station will continue until the last stoic is standing. Have you got what it takes to take the ultimate fitness test?
Result: Your max. deadlift in kg = points won
Result: Your total reps (unbroken) = points won
Result: Your total number of shuttles = points won
Result: Your time in seconds = points won
Result: Your distance in metres = points won
Note: Reaching the 1,000 and 750 Club is a sign of elite all-round capacity, only 1 in 200 people have achieved elite status in trials.

To achieve Elite status at the Stoic Games, competitors must reach the following score thresholds:
- Men: 1,000 points
- Women: 750 points
Men's singles will begin will from 8:30am and the last wave will finish approximately 2pm.
Women's singles will begin from approximately 1:30pm to 3:20pm.
During the day there is a break of waves and Ross will be joined with guests for an exclusive Q&A with a host of confirmed athletes including the Stoltman Brothers.
Once everyone has finished, there will be a break while scores are calculated.
The podium presentation for the top scorers will take place around approximately 3:30pm
Yes. There will be a dedicated warm-up area available for all participants before they compete. Please allow yourself enough time to warm up properly before your event.
If you're unable to lift the minimum required weight for the Stoic Stone, (40KG Women's and 70KG Men's) the station will be recorded as a failed lift, and no points will be awarded for that station.
Your first wave time will be emailed to you ahead of the event. Please make sure you arrive on site at least 1 hour before your allocated wave start time to allow enough time for registration, preparation, and warm-up.
All competitors must be fully registered 15 minutes before their wave start time. If you miss the start of your allocated wave, you will not be able to move into another wave or compete later in the day.
Please plan your journey accordingly and arrive with plenty of time to get ready for competition.
Yes. All participants will receive a medal irrespective of final points achieved in the competition.
Competitors who reach Elite status will be recognised with an additional trophy award.
Yes. There will be a selection of food and drink vendors available on site for both participants and spectators to enjoy throughout the event.

Having a good level of fitness is advised, however the Games are designed for athletes of all levels.
Absolutely. Tickets are required for participation; spectators are welcome to attend.

Yes - both straps and belts are allowed for the deadlift.
With a 60 second transition time between each station.
- Deadlift: Until the last person in your wave finishes.
- Press ups: Until the last person in your wave finishes.
- Bleep test: Until the last person in your wave finishes or the bleep test finishes on maximum level at 22 minutes.
